It has a 6-quart, polished stainless-steel bowl with an ergonomic handle and a two-piece pouring shield made of heavyweight plastic to provide a large chute for adding ingredients. Accompanying the mixer are a burnished flat beater, a burnished dough hook, and a big wire whip. This is the Original design By A Customer Please note, per the review stating that the smaller tilt-head mixer is the original design- This is the original Kitchen Aid design descended from the professional mixers used in the food industry (the Hobarts). This design is better for heavier duty use whereas the tilt-head design offers more convenience for lighter home use. As a chef, I prefer the professional model which offers more stability when mixing heavy doughs. The design with the bowl lifting up makes for a more solid motion. If you try cookie dough or scone dough on the Artisan or Ultra Power, you will notice that the head tends to shake once you add nuts or chocolate chips. It does have a lock, and while it does a wonderfully sufficient job for many uses, the Professional is definitely the choice for heavier duty mixing and regular use (more than once a week).I prefer the smaller Ultra Power in my apartment kitchen, but for my catering jobs I use the Professional since it is the perfect medium between transportability and power.Obviously most users will want and need only one. They are all excellent mixers. This professional powerful mixer handles bread dough and other heavy duty mixing very well. I read many of the other reviews and was somewhat apprehensive of my purchase. I have found that like any other small appliance; it took a little time to get used to the difference between the mixers. I like this machines extra capacity,power, and stability. This mixers bowl can be raised or lowered closer, or further ,to beatens simply by turning a screw in the front of the stand which solves some of the scraping problem mentioned in one reveiw. On the negative side-this machines beater's do not rotate as fast as my previous mixers. I wish it was faster but overall I enjoy this machine and like the extra power and capacity. Excellent machine for the serious baker By Shantelle I have owned a KitchenAid 325 watt mixer for seven years, and my only complaint was the small 4 1/2 quart size. I like to do double batches when baking, so I finally decided to spring for the professional mixer. This mixer is quite pricey, but I found a great deal on it..still a lot of money to put out for a mixer so I expected perfection. I used the machine one time and there was a bad knocking sound in the motor that I have NEVER heard in my 4 1/2 qt. model. I immediately called KitchenAid and they were wonderful. They shipped out a new machine immediately, in my choice of colors..nice because they didn't have the color I wanted at the store when I bought it. ANYWAY..the warranty really is hassle free, and I received my replacement mixer within a week.It handles large volumes of dough with ease, and the soft start feature is a Godsend. The pouring shield is large and allows you to add liquid or dry ingredients without stopping the mixer. I use this each and every time I make cookies..lets me add the flour gradually, or eggs one at a time. The mixing action is wonderful, and very little scraping of the bowl is needed to incorporate all the ingredients.

Fuller Just a few weeks before Christmas, I burned up our year old Sunbeam 275 watt stand mixer while making Divinity. It just couldn't handle the job.So in a panic, I began my search for a mixer that wouldn't wimp out at the first sign of sticky, gooey candy recipes. I have always heard great things about Kitchen-Aid mixers, and after looking at the wattage on the smaller varieties, I decide the 6 quart Epicurean (450 Watts) was the one for me. It hasn't disappointed me yet! Cakes, frostings, candies, breads, cookies, meringues; you name it and it tackles it with ease.It is very large and is simply beautiful to look at, so mine stays on my counter; ever beckoning me to try some new and exciting recipe :).My only disappointment is the cost of another 6 quart bowl; around ... It would be nice to have an extra bowl on hand but at that price, I can live without it.If you can, save up a few more dollars and get the Epicurean instead of the smaller Kitchen-Aid stand mixers. Peterson These machines will do anything you want them to do. I bought the high end version because I am a relatively serious cook who regularly breaks appliances. I've whopped through food processors and immersion blenders with regularity so I figure the money is well spent. For the cook, get the mixer with the 6 quart bowl. Get an extra bowl - you'll be glad you did. As far as attachments, you must have them all. I have the can opener, the grater, the sausage maker, the pasta extruder, and the juicer. They're great, they're wonderfully engineered, and they work reliably. Just a note on Kitchenaid as a service organization - they're great. About 1/1000 machines goes out the door with some kind of defect. If you get one of those, call Kitchenaid, they'll FedEx a new machine to you overnight. Very Useful Must Have Item For Your Kitchen By JB I purchased this KitchenAid after looking at mixers for quite awhile. I kept coming back to the KitchenAid, as it was the same mixer I'd seen in my mother's kitchen, as well as the kitchens of many people I know who are avid chefs. Things I like about this: 1. It is very heavy duty. There is nothing cheap feeling about this mixer. The bowl fits solidly into the lifting arms, and even when mixing dough at high speed, the mixer barely moves at all. 2. It comes with the basic attachments you will use constantly. We've made many doughs and mixes, and the motor has handled everything we've thrown at it. Things I don't like about this mixer: 1. When using the whisk attachment for trying to make some whipped cream, it didn't feel like it was going all the way down into the bowl, and after 5 minutes, it hadn't frothed up into whipped cream. Perhaps it failed as I was using half and half instead of heavy whipping cream, but my hand mixer has worked on this in the past. I see there is an adjustment screw, and maybe this will correct the problem 2. Doesn't include a mixing shield. When using a lot of flour or light ingredients, it would be nice to have some sort of quick-release shield. 3. Accessories are not cheap! Overall, I'd say if you are on the fence--buy this mixer. By Emby I bought this at Costco in Canada for $289cad. As far as I can tell this model is exactly the same as the Pro 6 series except it does not have the little bobble on the bowl lift lever and it doesn't come with a pouring shield. Other than that it's the same! Pros: - The bowl says 6qt on the side of mine so ....that's cool - It goes on sale for an amazing price at Costco frequently - I use it for everything now, meatloaf ,breads, cakes and cookies - high power Cons: - The burnished metal is really annoying. Not dishwasher safe and if you leave it wet the metal discolors. I'm not sure why they don't offer stainless steel - that would be way better! But I guess they want to make money on you buying replacements when you mess up and leave it in the sink overnight :( there are no good options for the paddle and dough hook though, the coated ones are dishwasher safe but they crack and the burnished metal ones need to be cleaned and dried immediately to keep them looking good. The red looks the best, then the black then the metal one. The metal one is paint colored metals it looks cheap. The black is super shiny and the red is very classy. Accessories that are nice to get: The pouring shield if you make a lot of big batches (mashed potatoes really benefits from the pouring shield) but not necessary for most things. The 3qtbowl or an extra bowl is really handy This is an excellent device. I am really happy with mine (except the burnished metal !) and would recommend to anyone who likes baking and cooking. Polk I finally decided to take the plunge and buy when the price fell to $ 115 and shipped free. "You can not beat, acting in this mixer!" The same mixer is heavy and not exactly something you can easily get in and out of the kitchen counter and store it in each enclosure. Check the size and make sure you have room for ... or to make room as I had to do. When using the mixer really does not have to scrape the sides of the bowl well. Good stuff ... there is not much room to do it! The bowl and mixer unit (whisk, dough hook and whisk are all included) and lock into place easily and instructions are very simple and need to try different recipes. Use of this mixer makes me realize what I missed. There is power, and all equipment is available for versatility. A very versatile device Through milss This is undoubtedly one of the best things I ever bought in my entire life. The price is unbeatable. You need to have a space to put the mixer, since it's really heavy and not too easy to take on and off constantly The instructions book is very clear. Once I had the mixer with me, I used it right away. The results have been more than satisfactory. The speeds work beautifully with any kind of mix, the three attachments are the most important to have, from my point of view. Maybe other useful attachment would be the pouring shield. Usually we use it to mix batches of cookies, cakes and pies. What's wonderful is the mixing bowl has a coating that allows al mixes to slip without scraping the bowl. These adhesives are wonderful quality - well worth the price, which seemed a bit pricey, until people began to brag about my mixes beautiful! A dear friend wrote to me in Maine, which was probably the most elegant faucet in Alabama. My mother has told the world talent like me, and I keep reminding him that it was a set of tags - my talent (or lack thereof) had nothing to do with it! With projected for 5 years outdoors the whole sticker, I have confidence that on the inside of the cover and in his cabinet, is my blender great for everyone! I use it on a daily basis between the corn tortilla dough and cake dough of corn, cheese, meat and vegetables, mix frosting and fondant. I had no problems with this mixer, it performs very well all the time and I never had engine failure. I just ordered the mill and the ice cream maker attachment after finding the grating attachment is so useful. It has just gone out of warranty and I have began to notice metal dust in bread dough. After disassembling the planetary assembly, I found a mass of aluminum shavings in it. I finally figured out that the spiral dough hook pushes up on the attachment shaft so hard when kneading dough that it dislodges the bottom snap ring on the shaft and pushes the planetary spur gear up into the aluminum housing. I replaced the snap ring but it still dislodges it. The hook-shaped dough hook does not push up and dislodge the snap ring, but it is much less effective at kneading. Tvedt Here is a review I wish I had read before buying my KitchenAid: First, the not-so-good: I bought the stand mixer, model number RKG25HOXER. This type of mixer design mimics what you see in professional bakeries because it has a handle on the side of the mixer as you rise to the right to bring to the club level. This is my opinion, is the negative side, and I would never consider buying this model again. The degree of discomfort is huge and annoying. To be precise, it is very difficult to add ingredients with this design. Imagine mixing a dough, and you must slowly and gradually flour. You can easily fit any 1 / 4 cup measuring cup into the bowl size (very small). To add ingredients that you must stop the machine, lower the bowl, add one of the ingredients, increasing the bowl and start mixing. You must do this as many times as you need to add something to your dough, I could not imagine that someone did not think of a solution to this problem, so I started my research. I found that to add the ingredients, we recommend purchasing a device KitchenAid special plastic that matches the edge of the bowl. This device has a spout or chute where to add things. I think KitchenAid called a thud, but I could be wrong. Then, add $ 20 for the price of the mixer, as you will need to buy it. The drive is not the solution that your ingredients adhere to the plastic spout / chute (imagine the addition of an egg, then having to add flour a little 'more). The bottom line with this machine is that the project is not cheap. Now the good: It 'a KitchenAid, and you will never find a better engine or a mixer of quality. I love life! What is a cheaper brand would be difficult to mix, a KitchenAid plows through only. The masses, no dough, knead, it is, the machine makes optional accessories is quality made (graters, grinders). A KitchenAid will do everything possible during the birth of their children. Although I never recommend that ended design, I could never recommend anything other than a KitchenAid. I suggest buying the model in which the head of the elevators in the blender, as her mother did. If I were a rich woman, I would go out today to buy the design of the model, but unfortunately I'm stuck with what I'm stuck. In short: Buy a KitchenAid, do not buy anything else. Glunz mixer came in one piece and found it a little bigger hard drive 475 watt model. The machine has worked flawlessly the few times I have used it without problems. It is very noisy compared to our more than 325 watt machine, but I think it is expected that the engine is a little more color is awesome and we love it. Comes with all the scouts and things necessary base for diving in the manufacture of bakery products and has a well-written manual that covers almost everything you need to know about it. Below is some information I felt may be useful to others trying to decide on a new KitchenAid mixer. If you have questions about a product or KitchenAid KitchenAid mixer, the KitchenAid Forum is a good place to start. Questions are answered by the users and staff KitchenAid. KitchenAid employees "KitchenAid" for his old name. "KitchenAid_Sally" To the forum, go to the KitchenAid website, "Customer Service" at the top, select "Join KitchenAid Conversations" at the bottom of the page, and select "Show all topics". There is a forum just for stand mixers. You can also try this address: forum.kitchenaid.com. You will find instructional videos and information about model numbers, accessories, features, settings, etc. There are tips and recipes from the user. You must register in the forum to send a question is a standard of craftsmanship is all I need? The craftsman is good for the groundwork of the mixture (light bread, pasta, individual lots, etc.). It is also easier to move and store in a closet due to its size compared to a professional model. Forsyth decal This is the second game I bought the company and have never been disappointed. When people see the flames in the mixer always say, and never had one negative comment about them. Here's a suggestion for those of you who want to buy this product. The instructions are very good to apply the theme to the mixer, but if you add a small step that will make your job much easier. First clean the surface as the recommended dose. Do not use the machine that comes with the kit, but only a little alcohol and a clean cloth will do. (This is all that is in the cleaner that comes with the kit anyway ....) ) According to a spray bottle and fill with water and a few drops of liquid dish soap and then spray the mixture on top of the console where you want the decal. If not, well soaked, just damp. This allows you to slide the decal a little 'around, and pull it up to reposition it if you need. Monster Mash by Joanna Daneman mixer is a heavier model than the "craft" and the bowl upside down on a handle instead of raising the mixer head. If you make bread or a heavy bag of bread for your family, this mixer can be a better choice with the strongest motor.You can also add a grinding of grain to the front of the unit - there is a lid flips and fits into a hole with a pin location. The engine then turns the grinder, sausage stuffer or vegetable grater. The grind of work, vegetable grater / slicer is a variation of the cone is not cutting my attachment favorites. You definitely get what you pay for. To the base unit is large (10 "x 8" x 6 "high) and heavy. But it is incredibly quiet. It has rubber feet to move the large unit or to prevent vibrating on the counter. The engine has enough torque or mix to tear anything went. The work bowl is wider than its predecessor, the cup 9 (7 ") which makes it very easy to make in the work and removal. Another nice touch is the lid of the bowl that fits on the inside and the outside edge of the bowl to avoid spillage. The food pusher also has a large measuring cup. Lots of accessories 12 Cup adjusting the processor also. The accessory mini bowl is useful because it falls easily into the large bowl of tasks and then quickly chop small quantities of the ingredients. The processor comes with a mini bowl and blade, dough blade, 2mm slicing disc, 4mm shredding disc, spatula and booklet has 18 pages and illustrated guide (all English) and another 22 pages of recipes. Final Note: This item is safely packed in Styrofoam. KitchenAid also has a slightly larger box in the shipping carton.
